Buddhism, Buddhist Meditation and Yoga Retreats, Norfolk | UK

Padmaloka is a UK Buddhist retreat centre for men and hosts retreats exploring Buddhism, Buddhist Meditation and yoga.

The retreat centre is part of the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order (FWBO), a worldwide movement founded by Sangharakshita that aims to make Buddhist teachings and practices available in a form appropriate and accessible to the modern world.

Padmaloka's Buddhism, meditation and yoga retreats are suitable for all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced, and you don't have to be a Buddhist to benefit from them. We have a special page listing retreats recommended for beginners to meditation, buddhism and yoga.

Coming on a retreat at Padmaloka is an opportunity to step outside your normal routine and into an environment created to make the most of Buddhist practise. Surrounded by English countryside and woodland nature reserves Padmaloka provides a quiet and beautiful setting for courses and retreats. Padmaloka is an ideal place to practice Buddhist meditation and to learn about Buddhism.

Travelling to Padmaloka to be on retreat is easy by public transport. We are 7 miles from Norwich (Norfolk) and 1 hour 40 minutes direct train from London.

See our events calendar which lists Padmaloka's current programme. The programme is also available to download in a handy filofax format and

Our about us page gives more info about the centre and we also have a recent comments section where people who've been on retreat at Padmaloka let us know how it was for them.
