How to Find Us

Padmaloka is situated in Surlingham, a village 7 miles East of Norwich.

Arriving by Train
Norwich Train Station. From the train station you can catch a bus (which involves a 10/15 minute walk) or take a Taxi.

Arriving by Coach
You can travel by coach to Norwich Coach Station. Bookings can be made via www.nationalexpress.com.
From the coach station you can catch a bus - see below (which involves a 5/10 minute walk) or take a Taxi.

Arriving by Plane
The nearest aiports are Stansted Airport and Norwich Airport. Flights can be booked through them or with airlines such as Easyjet, Ryanair and Flybe (for Norwich).

From Norwich Aiport you can then get a taxi to Padmaloka.

If you are arriving from further afield and landing at Gatwick or Heathrow then you can connect to Norwich either by bus or by train.

Arriving by Car
The principal road to Padmaloka can be reached from the A146. Once off the A146 follow the road for about 4 miles through Kirby Bedon along the Bramerton Road. Ahead you will see the road turns sharply to the right but here you need to turn left. Follow the road again which winds down a hill and turns sharply to the right up Walnut Hill. Continue up Walnut Hill past the School on your right and the Village Pond on the left. Again the road turns sharp right but here you turn left into The Green. Follow The Green down to the bottom where the road turns sharp left but here you turn right into The Covey where there is a sign for the Ted Ellis Nature Reserve. Padmaloka is the first gate on the right.

Travel from Norwich to Padmaloka

By Bus
Anglia Coaches run a bus service A001 from Norwich to Surlingham. The bus departs from outside John Lewis department store (formally Bonds) on Ber Street (Note: the bus stop has changed location to the other side of John Lewis), about a 10/15 minute walk from the train station. The bus journey takes about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at Lesingham House.

The bus times are as follows;
mon - sat 10.45, 12.00, 15.15, 16.45, 18.10
Note: there are no buses on Sundays or Bank holidays.
