An Update on Retreats at Padmaloka

We’re sorry to announce that following the UK prime ministers briefing last night of a nationwide lockdown, we will be suspending our residential events here at Padmaloka.

However, the beauty of hosting hybrid events is their flexibility, so the online aspect of our retreats will continue to run, and people from all over the UK and Europe will virtually gather here at Padmaloka to join the community for study, meditation and puja.

Recently we set up a large screen in the shrine room so that we can see the people joining us online each day which has been a real delight. We’ve also received a lot of appreciation for our online activities and it seems like there has been positive surprises of how effective our virtual retreats actually can be.

In times like this we must find ways to come together, virtually, mentally, spiritually, and to keep our practices burning bright and ever deepening our understanding of what going for refuge to the three jewels means.

Of course, all of this puts Padmaloka in yet another uncertain financial situation, so please do feel free to support our work of keeping the Dharma alive through leaving a donation via this link: https://www.padmaloka.org.uk/donate

And currently, most of our online events are fully booked but we are in the process of finding ways to increase our capacity, so keep an eye out for updates on our event page which you’ll find via this link: https://www.padmaloka.org.uk/retreats
