Mind in Harmony

Saturday, 13 November 2021 to Saturday, 20 November 2021

On this retreat we will be looking into how Buddhism breaks down and analyses our experience in terms of mind and mental events. In doing so, we aim to sharpen our awareness of what hinders us from growth on the path to Enlightenment and what we can use to propel us forwards into a life of greater depth, kindness and love.

Please arrive having studied Subhuti's book 'Mind in Harmony' chapter1 - 6 (pp1 - 92).

You can order the book from Windhorse via this link:https://www.windhorsepublications.com/product/mind-in-harmony-the-psycho...

We recommend taking notes on each chapter and arriving with points of interest that you wish to explore further in the study groups.

Details and Timings
The retreat starts with dinner on the first day at 6:30pm and finishes on the final day at 10.00am.

Health and Hygiene

It is vital that you don't come on retreat if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, including a cough, loss or change of smell or taste, a temperature, or any other cold or flu-like symptoms; or if you have been in contact with anyone who has within the past 14 days.

We ask that you take two Lateral Flow Test, one 48 hours before arrival and a second within 24 hours of the retreat starting.
If you haven't taken one by the time you arrive at Padmaloka, we will ask you to do one upon arrival and you will have to wait for the result before entering the buildings.
You can order them free from the UK Government here: Lateral Flow Tests, or from most pharmacies.

In coming on retreat you agree to observe measures laid out in our coming on retreat page here: Coming on Retreat

We will be taking every measure we can to prevent the spreading of Covid-19 during retreats, but despite this, there will still remain a risk to those who attend; please consider this when coming on retreat.

A Dana Retreat

After the deposit, there will be a dana appeal at the end of the retreat where you will have the opportunity to support Padmaloka with a donation.

People often want to donate a similar amount to the retreat rates used in the past on a week-long retreat, the amounts are as follows:
• Waged: £369
• Concession: £321
• Unwaged: £264

These retreats will have higher running costs than ordinary retreats due to the restricted number of attendees, as well as the extra hygiene precautions we are taking to ensure the safety of all those involved; so we ask that you give as generously as you can to support Padmaloka through the Covid-19 pandemic.

There will be an opportunity to donate near the end of the retreat, or you can do so any time online, but please note that by law we are unable to refund donations once they have been given.
