Imagination in the life and writings of Urgyen Sangharakshita
On this Going for Refuge retreat for men who have asked for ordination, we will be exploring the central importance of the imaginal in Bhante’s life and writings.
For Bhante, imagination, myth and symbol are essential to living a full Dharma life. As well as looking at some of his writings and episodes from his life, we will be aiming to discover the images, myths and symbols that are active in our own lives.
In particular, we will be studying Bhante's lectures The Journey to Il Convento and St Jerome Revisited.
