This retreat is for men invited on the 2024 Guhyaloka course and their preceptors and will see the men ordained at Padmaloka before they depart for the ‘Secret Valley’ in Spain. The ceremony by which one becomes a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order is the crux of Urgyen Sangharakshita's entire teaching. In that ordination, all the elements of his presentation of the Dharma are distilled and ritually enacted. The individual undergoing ordination is profoundly affected by the symbolic resonance of all that happens, sensing the weaving together of many threads of meaning in their lives, initiating them into the very beginning of a new and more deeply committed life.

Details and Timings

The retreat starts with dinner on the first day at 6:30pm. For the Preceptors it finishes on Sunday 28 April and for the Ordinands it finishes on Tuesday 30 April around 10.15 am.
